The inside of your horses mouth. |

These are all hand tools that most dentists use. The syringe is for rinsing out the mouth and the strange looking contraption on the end is a speculum for keeping the horses mouth safely open while we work. | |||
Examination of the outside of your horse is just as important as the inside and can tell the dentist a lot before they look in the mouth.

The gag or speculum keeps the horses mouth open so that the dentist can work safely inside the mouth and reach right to the back teeth without the danger of getting bitten
Floating or rasping the teeth with and without the gag.

Good hygiene is a very important part of dentistry. All our tools, boots and hands are disinfected at the end of each session.
